About the Author

Luke TippleLuke Tipple is a marine biologist, television personality, speaker and producer.

Along with his award winning work with sharks for the Discovery Channel Luke has hosted major network TV shows for The CW (Capture) and Syfy (Opposite Worlds).

Born and raised in Australia, his travels have taken him around the globe where he’s come face to face with some of the worlds most dangerous predators, and survived.

His first job out of college was as resident marine biologist for Utila, Honduras where he ran a whale shark tagging program. Luke also pioneered sustainable procedures for commercial out-of-cage work with great white sharks.

Luke has more than a decade of experience working in conservation, consulting and tourism in the Pacific, Mediterranean, Great Barrier Reef, Mexico, Honduras and Bahamas. His international conservation and policy work has been recognized for outstanding contribution by the Humane Society of the United States.

A passionate creative at heart he is equal parts scientist, adventurer and entertainer. Tipple hopes that his adventures, shared with millions, will not only entertain but inspire the next generation of ambassadors for the planet.
